CHILDHOOD TREES

Agata Sierra x Cadre d’Or, PARIS

These drawings, made with oil pastel and acrylic paint, depict trees from my homeland—such as the borrachero, the chifflera, and the urapán—species commonly found in Bogotá.

These trees are part of the everyday landscape; they shape our surroundings, quietly structure our spaces, and accompany our lives. Created during a period of physical recovery, the act of drawing became intertwined with regaining movement, making each image a gesture of both observation and resilience.

Bright colors bring tension, rhythm, and balance, reflecting a process of inner reconstruction. There is no fixed storyline; instead, the works speak through a layered visual language where every mark traces a path of personal transformation.
